About us...

Established in 1977 by Dennis Knight, the company expanded its home repair, improvement and renovation works into building new homes. In addition to major, speculative house building projects, we have also helped create stylish properties for individual clients. Conversion of redundant agricultural buildings into character dwellings has formed a major part of the company’s activities.
The company registered with the NHBC in 1979, is also a member of the Zurich Guarantee Scheme and a member of the Building Safety Group.

Chris Asher joined the company in 1990 having qualified as a site engineer - and became Managing Director in 1999.

HAMILTON KNIGHT
employs a permanent staff including site engineers, bricklayers, joiners and general building operatives - and has trained many apprentices. We offer ‘in-house’ expertise second to none.

Awards

Winner of several building industry awards, in 2006, HAMILTON KNIGHT gained a top award for an innovative barn conversion at ‘The Chestnuts’, Cotham near Newark. This built on earlier successes. In 1999, for example, the company received a Special Category New Homes Award for a three-bedroom home of character incorporating reclaimed materials at “Whitacre Barn”, Aslockton.
